Henry Hill ~ Manassas, Virginia

The scene of both Bull Run~Manassas Battles in 1861 and 1862, Much of the landscape within Manassas National Battlefield still retains its wartime character. Manassas National Battlefield Park, located north of Manassas, Virginia, preserves the site of two major American Civil War battles. The peaceful Virginia countryside bore witness to clashes between the armies of the Union and Confederacy, and it was here that Confederate General Thomas J. Jackson acquired his nickname "Stonewall."
