Greg Craven's Gun, a.k.a. "Linda Sue"
This 3 inch Ordnance rifled gun was cast as “Nemesis”, (goddess of fire), but is now called “Linda Sue”.
She carried, horse drawn on its back, the first H. L. Hunley crew from the Citadel’s Johnson Hagood Stadium to Magnolia Cemetery in 1999.
Linda Sue had the honor of firing the first salute each day of the three days of the Hunley Funeral.
She, as Number 50 of 50 guns, fired the last of the grave side salutes to the honored Hunley crew. A plaque on her carriage states:
“This Gun Fired the Final Salute”
